Gisteren is Miranda’s vader helaas overleden. We zullen je missen Wim.

Voor het eerst in jaren stond ik gisteren weer eens op het veld om competitie te spelen. De herendubbel ging vrij lekker en die wonnen we dan ook. De single werkte ik me in de eerste set het apelazerus en verloor die uiteindelijk met 19-21. De tweede set besloot ik om wat energie te besparen voor de mix en dat werkte beter dan verwacht, uiteindelijk verloor ik hem wel maar met 25-27 deze keer. De mix ging ook wel aardig maar de tegenstanders waren toch net iets te goed. Die eindigde uiteindelijk met 2 x 19-21 als ik het goed heb.

Gwen is echt een volleerd kruipster nu. De hele kamer gaat ze door en het liefst achter je aan om te kijken wat je nuw eer aan het uitspoken bent.

Sja, wat er precies aan moet zijn weet ik niet maar Merlijn vind het leuk om alleen een stoelendans te doen met 3 stoelen. Ik moest wel de muziek stilzetten voor hem. Hij had de grootste lol en Gwen snapte er niks van.

Aangezien er toch vrij weinig views uit het buitenland kwamen stap ik toch maar over op Nederlands.

Been to 2 forts yesterday around Luik ( Belgium ) the 2nd one was build around 1888 after the French/German war. The people defended it pretty good at the start of the First World War but a 420mm shell from a Big Bertha blew up a munitium room exploding 12.000 kilos of black powder. This offcourse gave a big mess, see the next link for pictures:

The first fort was finished in 1936 and was build with the lessons learned in the First World War. Too bad the Germans where aware that it was a good fort and decided to land glidertroops with a new bomb > the hollow mine that works just like a hollow point bullet but then with 12,5 or 50kgs of explosives. Below are some pictures of that. The pics where you see the big mess : this was after a 50kg hollow mine exploded 20 meters or something above on top of a artillery turret.

not the fastest there is but fast enough to do some simulations for studywork for me in vmware. 3 drives thus are not ment for pure file storage but to be able to run several vm’s without messing around on the same disk

Besides the normal work am also taking a Vmware training this week which means that until Thursday I will be at home at about 22.45h and I will loose my saturday for it. yesterday the driving home was easy but today it was raining a bit wich sucks on the road between heerlen and Budel on most parts, bad sight because of the spray and lots of trackforming wich gives aquaplaning

Not much of a problem for me but since we’re the first group to be called about just anything I had to react. SHadowed the users citrix session and found out that it was a sql problem on some server we don’t manage. I let the servicedesk put the cal trough to the proper group that handles it and that was about it. Took me 30 minutes in total and after just little more then an hour the call was completely solved.
